IDR is seeking a Virtualization Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Loveland, Colorado. This role involves supporting enterprise virtualization projects within a dynamic IT environment focused on migration, troubleshooting, and optimization of virtualization platforms. The company operates in the technology sector, emphasizing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions for large-scale environments.
Position Overview for the Virtualization Engineer:
- Provide hands-on virtualization engineering support, including migrations and performance tuning
- Manage and troubleshoot VMware and Hyper-V environments in enterprise settings
- Utilize tools such as SCVMM, PowerShell, and migration utilities to automate and streamline processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies
- Document procedures and communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders
Requirements for the Virtualization Engineer:
- 5+ years of hands-on virtualization engineering experience
- Proven experience migrating VMware environments to Hyper-V in an enterprise setting
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and the Microsoft virtualization stack
- Experience with tools such as SCVMM, PowerShell automation, and migration utilities
- Knowledge of storage, networking, and backup solutions in virtualized environments

$60-$70/hr
